May Update
Hello Magical Humans!
How are you? The first week of May had some funky cosmic weather- did you feel it? It was a little bit of, “Oops, was that my inside voice? How did that get out here?!” Perhaps you had some vivid dreams that traversed the nightmare zone, or maybe all of your fears kept popping in to say hello while you were just trying to mind your own business and live your life. Well, scratch that last part: you were not at all trying to mind your own business; you wanted to know every. last. little. detail.

Week two will err on the more sensitive side, especially as we move toward the New Moon on May 16th. You might want to keep tissues handy, just in case. The second half of the month will feel like a ramp-up to a faster reality as we enter Gemini season- sort of like when you increase the speed of an audiobook from 1x to 1.25x, then 1.5x.
I am getting ahead of myself, though, since I’m writing this right around Mother’s Day. As we ponder our connections with our own mothers (and hopefully get spoiled by those we mother), we wander right into the territory of the Moon. In our natal charts, the Moon speaks to how we need to be nurtured, the way we meet the world emotionally, and how we deal with change. It is also the keeper of our memories, both conscious and subconscious. When I look at a natal chart, I honor the story told by the Moon’s placement as a special gateway to an individual’s creativity, intuition, and inner world.

Sometimes we don’t realize that we are intuitive- or how to recognize our intuitive messages- because we believe intuition and psychic abilities only come in one format. So, I thought I would outline how to tap into intuition based on each sign of the Moon. While many factors add to the complexity of the story, such as house placement and aspects, this feels like an accessible starting point.
Aries: If I had an Aries Moon, I would look for intuitive messages that arrive during physical movement. Exercise would be my meditation. I would pay extra attention to my instinctual responses and track any details associated with them. I would become very attuned to the wisdom held in my anger (before it grows too big) and use my passion as my compass.
Taurus: If I had a Taurus Moon, I would wait patiently for my messages to arrive while resting in the stillness and peace of nature. I would take up gardening, or perhaps just sit on a large rock, expressing gratitude for the support and stability it provides. I would bless my food and notice the power of intention in this sacred act of nourishment. I would be very attuned to the wisdom of my physical sensations. My body would be my oracle.
Gemini: If I had a Gemini Moon, I would follow where my curiosity leads and trust that it is my inner GPS showing me the way. I would listen for clues in my conversations with others and notice the "pings" that arrive in emails and podcast episodes. I would keep my eyes scanning for signs and symbols in the immediate world around me. I would journal and free-write to see what shows up. I would leave myself voice notes and scan them for the messages in my own words.
Cancer: If I had a Cancer Moon (which I do), I would notice the places and spaces where I feel safe and “at home.” I would pay special attention to the insights that arrive in those spaces and in the company of people who feel like family. I would keep special items that connect me to home tucked in my purse (or my suitcase whenever I travel), to hold when I want to connect back to my inner home.
Leo: If I had a Leo Moon, I would look for intuitive hits that spark my inner child or sense of play. I would pay attention to the messages that come through when I am being creative or expressing myself boldly. My intuition would speak loudest when I am following my heart's joy, reminding me that my warmth and presence are their own kind of North Star.
Virgo: If I had a Virgo Moon, I would find my intuitive clarity through the act of refinement and organization. My "aha" moments would likely come while I’m sorting, labeling, or tending to the small details of daily life. I would trust the quiet, practical nudges that tell me exactly what needs to be done, and I would treat my discernment as a sacred gift. Much like Taurus, my body (and its state of health) would be a constant well of wisdom.
Libra: If I had a Libra Moon, I would look for intuitive messages reflected back to me through my relationships and surroundings. I would pay attention to the feeling of alignment or discord in a room; noticing beauty in all its forms would be my signal that I’m on the right track. I would find my answers by seeking balance and listening to the wisdom that emerges during a fair and heart-centered exchange.
Scorpio: If I had a Scorpio Moon, I would trust my gut above all else, especially those initial hits that tell me what is brewing beneath the surface. I would look for messages in the shadows, the silence, and the mysteries of life. I would honor my need for privacy as a way to protect my psychic space, knowing that my investigative nature is actually my intuition hunting for the truth.
Sagittarius: If I had a Sagittarius Moon, my intuition would arrive as a wild burst of inspiration or a sudden urge to explore. I would look for signs in philosophy, foreign cultures, or long-distance journeys. I would trust the big picture insights that come to me when I’m dreaming of the future, and I would use my sense of adventure as my primary intuitive tool.
Capricorn: If I had a Capricorn Moon, I would listen for intuitive messages that feel steady, grounded, and decisive. My intuition wouldn’t be a whisper; it would be a clear directive with a solid architectural plan. I would find my deepest insights while working toward a long-term goal or spending time in nature (preferably the in the mountains), trusting the wisdom of the master within me.
Aquarius: If I had an Aquarius Moon, my intuition would likely arrive as sudden downloads or flashes of brilliance that seem to come from out of the nowhere. I would look for messages within the collective or in my larger community. I would recognize that my insights are often glimpses of the future. I would trust my weirdest ideas, knowing that my unique perspective is exactly how the universe speaks to me.
Pisces: If I had a Pisces Moon, my intuition would be like the ocean- vast, fluid, and everywhere at once. I would look for messages in my dreams, in music, and in the feeling of the energy around me. I would practice dancing and daydreaming as a way to let the universe pour its wisdom into my heart, trusting that I am always swimming in a sea of divine guidance.
This is where my Cancer moon likes to do it’s intuiting ;-)

I hope you enjoy exploring your own brand of intuition- or at least one of its many flavors- through the lens of the Moon.
Here is a fun little extra: we also move through each of the signs via a personal cycle called the Progressed Moon. This journey lasts about 2.5 years per sign, taking nearly 30 years to travel through the entire zodiac. So, even though your soul blueprint has a locked-in setting for your natal Moon, you still get to experience the energy of every sign over time. This cycle runs in the background of your life, creating greater depth and mastery within your own inner world. Knowing where your progressed moon is by sign and house is incredibly enlightening: especially when you delve into the deep waters of Scorpio or Pisces!
Wishing you a month of gentle clarity and discovery as you follow your own internal GPS.
Warmly,
Jenny
