March Update
Hello Magical Humans,
Phew! Eclipse season Round 1 is under our belts. A couple of days after the first eclipse, I received a text from someone who is definitely not my mother asking if I knew what the heck was going on with the planets because she felt like she was riding a rodeo bull. She’s not, and never has been, a cowgirl (cowlady?) but I’ll take her word for it. Eclipses are not known for being chill, folks. They expose all of the messy stuff that we’ve been avoiding and hiding under the rug.
That is 100% not my mother on that bull. She would kill me if she saw that I posted her likeness on the interwebs. Cyber security is one of her top priorities.
In all seriousness, though, if you had an intense couple of weeks, you were not imagining things. We ushered in the Year of the Fire Horse, and that’s all I’m going to say about that because I know virtually nothing about Chinese astrology. I only just realized that I’ve spent 48 years assuming I was born in the Year of the Horse, when actually my birthday fell before the Lunar New Year. So, I’m a Snake- which would be pretty badass if I wasn't petrified of snakes. I had a huge crush on Indiana Jones (yes, the character) as a teen, and his fear of snakes felt like something we had in common. Full disclosure: I just took a brief interlude to see what year Harrison Ford was born in, and wouldn’t you know it? He was born in the Year of the Horse, and somehow that just feels like insult to injury.
That felt good to get off my chest. See? Eclipses are all about bringing things up and out. Pats self on back.
Today, we have a full moon (lunar eclipse) in Virgo. What feels good during a Virgo moon?
Creating order (who says spreadsheets can’t be fun?!)
Improving upon something, or an area of your life
Tending to your health
Healthy food (I keep chocolate in my vegetable drawer, and that’s good enough for me)
Predictable and steady routine
Being of service
Clocking all of the details and then analyzing them
Appreciation for a thorough, meticulous job well done
On a full moon, we have the opportunity to see what has been working well for us and what patterns or behaviors have reached their expiration date. Notice what is showing up in your life. What is out of balance and could use some recalibration? What needs to be released? Also, where have you been a freaking rockstar? Celebrate those wins!
The ruler of this full moon (Mercury) is in retrograde until March 20th. This retrograde is happening in Pisces, so use this mental speed bump to tap into your creativity and your intuition. Definitely pay attention to your dreams. Maaaaaybe don’t make any spontaneous decisions that are completely out of character. Those are just my thoughts, though- you do you.
